Things to Do in Volusia County — April 2026 Events Guide
April is one of the best months to be in Volusia County. The Florida heat hasn’t fully arrived yet, the snowbirds are still here, and the events calendar across DeLand, Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, and Ormond Beach is packed with festivals, food, music, and community. Whether you’re a longtime resident, a relocation buyer scoping the area, or a homeowner looking to enjoy what makes this region special — here is everything worth putting on your calendar this April.
This is the side of Volusia County that doesn’t show up on real estate comparison sites. It’s one of the reasons people who move here rarely leave.

Jeep Beach 2026 — April 17–26 | Daytona International Speedway & Beach
The World’s Largest Jeep Enthusiast Event returns to Daytona Beach for another massive week of off-road fun, vendor exhibits, obstacle courses, and hard-packed beach driving. With 200+ vendors at the Speedway and Jeeps covering the sand from one end to the other, this is unlike any event you’ll find anywhere else. Jeep owner or not, the spectacle is worth seeing. The 5K on April 19th is open to all runners and walkers.

Jeep Beach is also one of the biggest economic events on the Daytona Beach calendar — hotels fill up and short-term rentals spike during this week. If you own investment property in the area, this is exactly the kind of demand driver that supports strong rental income.
🏛️ DeLand Events — April 2026
DeLandapalooza & Love Earth Music & Art Festival — April 18 | Historic Downtown DeLand
The 14th Annual DeLandapalooza is one of the most impressive grassroots music and art events in all of Central Florida. Twenty-one stages — spread across bars, galleries, restaurants, and outdoor plazas throughout downtown DeLand — host over 140 original acts across an afternoon and evening of non-stop music, live art, food, and culture. This is the event that shows exactly what makes DeLand different from every other Volusia County community. The walkable, historic downtown comes alive in a way that reminds everyone why they chose to live here.

DeLand Yoga Fest — April 25–26 | Downtown DeLand
Hot Yoga DeLand presents the inaugural DeLand Yoga Fest, transforming downtown into an immersive wellness festival over an entire weekend. Twenty-five instructors lead classes across seven unique venues throughout the walkable downtown district — vinyasa flows, yin sessions, restorative practices, meditation, breathwork, and sound healing. This is the kind of event that positions DeLand as a destination beyond real estate, and a sign of the community’s continued growth as a quality-of-life city.
🏡 Thinking About DeLand?
DeLand consistently ranks as one of my top recommendations for buyers seeking a community with genuine character, walkable downtown amenities, strong schools, and real estate value. April is the perfect month to experience it firsthand. Browse DeLand homes for sale →
🌊 New Smyrna Beach Events — April 2026
Annual New Smyrna Beach Food Festival — April 16 | Flagler Avenue
Flagler Avenue comes alive Thursday evening as restaurants along New Smyrna Beach’s most beloved strip offer sample-sized dishes ranging from $5 to $8. No admission fee means this is one of the most accessible and enjoyable food events on the Volusia County calendar. Live music from regional and national artists provides the backdrop as locals and visitors walk the avenue sampling the best of the local culinary scene.

Flagler Ave Margarita Tour — April 4 through May 4 | New Smyrna Beach
The entire month of April is essentially one long margarita festival on Flagler Ave. Participating restaurants and bars along the strip each offer their own take on the classic margarita throughout the month — a self-guided tour that gives you a great excuse to walk the avenue, try new spots, and experience what makes New Smyrna Beach one of the most livable coastal communities in Florida.

NSB Farmers Market — Every Saturday in April | Old Fort Park
The New Smyrna Beach Farmers Market is a Saturday morning ritual for residents throughout Volusia County. Local produce, fresh seafood, artisan goods, plants, and prepared foods alongside the waterway at Old Fort Park. If you’re considering New Smyrna Beach as your next home, spending a Saturday morning at the Farmers Market is one of the best ways to take the pulse of the community.
🌊 New Smyrna Beach Is a Buyer’s Market Right Now
NSB currently has the highest inventory and longest days on market in the region — meaning buyers have more negotiating leverage here than anywhere else in Volusia County. If you’ve ever wanted to own in New Smyrna Beach, Q2 2026 is the window. See New Smyrna Beach listings →
🏌️ Ormond Beach Events — April 2026
Spring Break Reggae Festival — April 18 | The Pavilion at Destination Daytona, Ormond Beach
The Spring Break Reggae Festival brings outdoor live music to The Pavilion at Destination Daytona in Ormond Beach on April 18th. A natural pairing with DeLandapalooza happening the same weekend, this makes the third week of April one of the strongest back-to-back event weekends in the region. Destination Daytona’s outdoor venue is a great setting — open air, plenty of parking, and that relaxed Florida energy that makes April so hard to beat here.

Ormond Beach Celtic Festival — April | Rockefeller Gardens
The Ormond Beach Celtic Festival takes over the beautiful Rockefeller Gardens each April for a celebration of Celtic culture — music, dancing, food, and heritage in one of Ormond Beach’s most distinctive outdoor venues. The historic gardens setting makes this one of the most visually unique events in the Volusia County calendar. Confirm specific date and ticket details at the City of Ormond Beach events page as the event approaches.

Granada Boulevard Art Walk — First Saturday of April | Downtown Ormond Beach
Ormond Beach’s monthly Art Walk on Granada Boulevard is a consistent community anchor — galleries open late, local artists display work, and boutique shops along the corridor welcome visitors for a relaxed evening of art and community. The first Saturday of every month, and April’s edition falls on April 5th. An easy addition to any Ormond Beach weekend itinerary.
Art Imitates Life… Again — On Display Through June | Downtown Ormond Beach
Twelve hyper-realistic bronze sculptures by renowned artist Seward Johnson are placed throughout historic downtown Ormond Beach through June 19th. The outdoor exhibit — called Art Imitates Life… Again — features life-size bronze reproductions of famous paintings brought into three-dimensional form. An incredible, free outdoor museum experience that makes downtown Ormond Beach worth a dedicated visit this spring.

In celebration of Earth Day, Ormond Beach residents can pick up a free tree to plant at home alongside educational exhibits, environmental activities, and local environmental groups at the Environmental Discovery Center. Main Street DeLand Events
Main Street DeLand runs community events throughout the month — check their live calendar at mainstreetdeland.org for farmers market dates, gallery nights, and pop-up events that happen alongside the major April festivals.
Why April Is the Best Month to Visit Volusia County
If you are considering relocating to Central Florida and want to experience Volusia County at its best before making a decision, April is the month to come. The weather is perfect — low humidity, temperatures in the mid-70s to low 80s, ocean water that is finally warm enough to enjoy. The events calendar means there is something happening every weekend in every community. And the real estate market right now gives you a genuine window to buy smart, with more inventory and more negotiating leverage than at any point in the past four years.
I regularly work with out-of-state buyers who plan their visit around DeLand, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ormond Beach, and New Smyrna Beach specifically to get a feel for each community before deciding where to plant roots. If that is you, I am happy to schedule a no-pressure tour of communities that match your lifestyle and budget alongside your April visit. There is no better way to make this decision than to be here — and April makes this region impossible not to fall in love with.
Planning a Visit? Let’s Tour Communities Together.
I work with relocation buyers from across the country who want a real, honest perspective on life in Volusia County before they commit to a move. Call or text — let’s line up your April visit with a community tour that makes sense for your goals.
